People deserve a government that is on their side, not working in the interests of the super-rich. A government that will grow the economy, create jobs and help people get on the property ladder, not pull it away!

The Labour Party wants to reverse PM Truss’ trickle-down budget and end this mortgage mayhem. We would see an end to tax-cuts for the richest ideology and place instead a windfall tax on the excess profits of energy companies, to create a fairer greener future. Why should ordinary hardworking people have to pay the price for this government’s huge borrowing when these companies see record breaking profits. This is Labour’s pragmatic vision which rewards hard work, not the Tory mantra of rewarding the rich for being rich. Britain deserves better. Britain deserves Labour.
