Now that the Government have moved to the “delay” phase of their response to the Covid-19 outbreak, it’s important we all do our part to slow down the spread of this infection where we can.
As a precaution, I’ve decided to cancel my constituency advice sessions and drop-ins to my office until further notice. This decision has been made to protect the health of both my constituents and my staff. My advice sessions have been popular but often involve a large number of constituents – often vulnerable people – sitting together in a waiting area.
And I’m keen to protect my staff – not just because I have a legal responsibility to look after their welfare and reduce their risks at work – but also because my team cannot help constituents in their moment of need if they themselves are too unwell to work.
My team are still working hard to resolve the hundreds of cases local people have asked for my help with, and if you need help you can still get in contact with my office by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01753 518 161.
Stay safe and look out for each other,
