Having run my own start-up construction business, I know full well the importance of SMEs investing in its people & taking on apprentices. That’s why I tabled a debate on the topic of apprenticeships and SMEs, in light of the struggles many small and medium-sized enterprises face with regards to the Apprenticeship Levy.

Sadly, the Govt’s rushed implementation of the Apprenticeship Levy has made taking on apprenticeships even more difficult for this sector who so desperately need them.
